The first and the last teams of the Superleague arranged serious battle in the last game before the New Year break. Spartak made everything possible to made the game interesting but in the end CSKA class and experience affected the outcome.

CSKA vs. Spartak St.Petersburg: 81-76

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA Head Coach:
My congratulations to our team and fans on coming Christmas and New Year! I am sure that we can go on showing our game in 2010, though we expect the challenges to be even more difficult. This pre-holiday mood, surely, affected our game we played with good concentration it the first half, but we forgot to defend in the third quarter. Besides, Spartak demonstrated a game of high level and proved once again that the team is beginning to find its game. Id like to wish St. Petersburg team good luck in the New Year.
