Fragiskos Alvertis farewell game let the hero to enjoy the evening. Not because of the Matreshka presented by CSKA and another numerous gifts received by the legend, but because of the result. The hosts made the run in the second quarter and did not allow the visitors to get back to the game.

Panathinaikos vs. CSKA: 82-69

Evgeny Pashutin, CSKA Head Coach:

“I would like to thank PAO management and coaching for invitation to participate in this game. We respect Fragiskos Alvertis a lot and we weren’t thinking about the decision to come. Alvertis is a great player and a great person; he won a lot of titles and deserved this kind of spectacle. As for the game, we played good in the beginning, but PAO played very aggressive defense allowing us to score only 6 points in the second quarter which become the crucial one. When Panathinaikos advantage reached 20 points, the result was decided. In the second half we gave a chance to the young players to show their character and they looked good, trying hard both on defense and offense.”
